Tinsley Mortimer has caught the love bug.
“We had such a great relationship,” said Mortimer, 42, on the latest episode of Reality Life with Kate Casey. “It was a whirlwind romance. I mean, from the day we met, we didn’t even part — we had a five day-long date.”
Mortimer started seeing Chicago-based businessman Kluth after her RHONY castmate Carole Radziwill set the two up on a blind double date in February. On the season 9 reunion this summer, Mortimer said she believed that Kluth, the 40-year-old founder and CEO of the popular money-saving site CouponCabin, was “definitely” the one. The two also work together: Mortimer took a job as an account manager at the site.
“We traveled all over Europe this whole summer. We had such a great time, but all of a sudden, reality sort of hits,” she said of their decision to call it quits. “He has to be in Chicago, he owns a company called CouponCabin — which I actually still work for, because he did hire me to work for him. So he’s very, very busy. It’s the end of the quarter.”
“So he’s focused working in Chicago, I have to be in New York, obviously, so we had a bit of a distance problem,” she explained. “We did break up, but we did just see each other this past weekend for the first time after two and a half months. I was there to work for the company, so hopefully we are going to work things out.”
Mortimer said she’s “very optimistic” about the two of them getting back together.
“He’s such a great guy,” she gushed. “I love working for his company, too. I love Chicago, and I love him and I’m just hopeful that we can make it work. And I think we can.”
Back in July, the Bravo star told PEOPLE that Kluth is “adorable” and a “good caretaker.”
“He looks out for me,” she said. “I’m happy.”
“It worked out,” she added on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen that same month. “I’m not going to lie, I’m happy when I’m in a relationship. But it doesn’t mean I create something out of nothing. Scott is amazing. … He’s an incredible guy and I’m just lucky to have met him. I have a great guy. It’s awesome.”
